Cupcake Angel

Mary Kay Heimbach / Saturday, April 23 2011 03:11 PM

What a great idea for Mother's Day - you get a yummy cupcake, a battery for your watch (which you can always use), and help out 3 Mothers who have very special angels and are keeping their memories alive with wonderful projects! Don't just buy 1 Angel Cupcake - I'm sure you have several people you could buy a cupcake for maybe someone that's been like a mom to you, or a sister, or an aunt. or maybe just a wonderful friend!

Debi / Monday, November 9 2009 01:38 AM

Thanks for the reminder Jill, so true, there is never enough time. Life is short and we are all guilty of not living everyday to the fullest or saying and/or doing all we could/should for others. Thank you.

Carol Yeager / Saturday, November 7 2009 04:22 PM

I am so very sorry to hear about Gavin and my heart goes out to them at their time of such hearaches and emotional pain, there are just so many things to say that I know seem to be so small but really they do come from thr bottom of my heart and also I wish that all pain and suffering could just be erased from the earth so all of us could just be happy for all the days of our lives that we have left.Again all my heartfelt emotions go out to Gavin and his family and also to you and yours also.

Jan / Saturday, November 7 2009 03:18 PM

Amen, Jill.

I think of ALLY everyday and more the past year. She is always there to help you, ash and mommy and guide you through the right paths. Sorry those horrible images are still so vivid in your mind. I cannot imagine the pain but just know many are here to support and pray for you you and all of your family.

Sandy / Sunday, October 18 2009 01:32 AM

Cris / Wednesday, October 14 2009 03:10 PM

You remind me to hold Maggie Mya and now Liam as close as I can. You and Jill, Ashley and Ally have taught so many of us that this too shall pass. No matter how good or bad this too shall pass. And knowing that we all need to be better people to everyone. We try to make a difference everyday. Thanks Ally for teaching us so many wonderful things about life.

Mary and Maggie / Wednesday, October 14 2009 01:40 AM

I am praying for you all the time. I know Ally watches over you and will help you get through.

Anonymous / Wednesday, October 14 2009 01:36 AM

I am thinking and praying of/for you on this day and everyday. I thought that this poem relates to what you may be feeling today. My Dear Sweet Baby Girl There have been 365 days that I woke up without you next to me, but 365 days that you woke up in Heaven; A year has gone by without me holding you, but God has been holding you for a year; I haven't been able to look at you in 52 weeks, but you watch over me and you have been my angel all that time; It has been 12 monthes since I've seen your smile, but 12 monthes since I've watched you cry in pain. I miss you so, I wish you didn't go, but now I see you are better now. I don't know how time works in Heaven, but I will be with you in a few human years, and we can be together for all of eternity happy and smiling constantly. I love you. I miss you. I'll see you soon.

holly / Wednesday, October 14 2009 01:00 AM

i'm sure it was not an easy day,but i think what you did is good to do sometimes.just be alone.we all really miss ally, she was so darn special.

Debi / Tuesday, October 13 2009 04:34 PM

Ally will never be forgotten Shane! On this her anniversary day of her new life in heaven or any day. She is in the hearts and souls of so many. The lessons she taught so many of us. The smiles she gave, big enough to carry us thru the toughest of life's hard times. When you think you can't take or handle anymore, think of Ally and all she endured and you feel foolish and so thankful to have known her and her family. What a wonderful daughter you had and now an angel to us all. Some people only dream of angels......we actually held one in our arms!! :) Remember her today and everyday.....and try to smile when you do as she is smiling down on you. Thank you for all the memories Ally........God bless you!

We are keeping you all in our prayers this month,Jill.Ava asks about Ashley all the time and would love to see her. Ava knows the heartbreak Ashley must feel when she starts fighting with her sister,Paige. I remind them that they are lucky to have eachother no matter what. No one knows what tomorrow may bring. May you find some peace and comfort in the loving messages this month.

Carol Yeager / Friday, October 9 2009 05:33 PM

It has to be so hard finding words to explain things to Ashley. Just knowing your family's story helps put a perspective on life and the time that we share with our children. It has certainly opened my eyes!

Jill, Through all your trials and tribulations as you sit on the beach remember the one person that has brought you all this far and recite his words to yourself: "Footprints in the Sand" and remember Look around...her footprints will be there, You and shane carried her till the Lord took over! God Bless You! "This is the Day the Lord hath Made Rejoice and be Glad" Enjoy the Time you have raising Ash and Relax! I know it will be hard! Peace be with You~

Dawn / Tuesday, July 21 2009 06:30 PM

I remember going to college with the thought that from this point on in my life the new people I met would never have had the priviledge to have met my brother...and it made me sad. Sometime the fact that life just rushes on and doesnt stop when we hurt makes it all the harder. It's been 15years since he died and the beach still reminds me of him.... i think that is why i need to be there each year for the bitter sweet memories that i cling to. As a sister who lost a sibling--- THANK YOU for being such a great mom to Ashley and keeping Ally alive for her in ways like the RED bucket. I am proud of you!

Cris / Wednesday, July 15 2009 02:53 PM

I hope everyone coming and going at different times keeps you occupied....stay as busy as you can...I don't kno whow you will sit still on the beach....God I don't know how you do it Jill! Hang in times the rope has to feel awfully tight. We are taking Maggie and Mya to the beach in a few weeks (the whole family too) and I will think of Ally while we clean off shells too. Love ya' Cris

Carol Yeager / Wednesday, July 15 2009 02:13 PM

Hello, I was reading the mail that you sent and I want to say that I think it is great how you continue to allways include Ally in all of your family activities,I guess that the feeling of your dearest Ally being close to you is very comforting. I hope that you continue to allways feel her presence around you and that Ash will allways help to complete your life and allways help to fill the emptiness that you must feel since Ally went to be with her Angels.Ihope that you will continue to get stronger and live life to its fullest just as your little angel would expect you to do.Allways in my thoughts and prayers,Carol(sissypop52)

Nicki / Wednesday, July 15 2009 01:45 PM

Jill, sending you hugs to try and offer some comfort. My heart breaks for you. I remember all too well the 1st vacation without our Collin. One thing we did to keep Collin with us was to bring a framed photo of him from our trip the summer before. Try to enjoy your time with Ashley. I hope you get a special sign from Ally that she is there with you, if only in spirit. We usually have a pretty butterfly join us as we're walking up to the beach each day :) I'm just a phone call away if you need anyone to talk to. Take care.

Carol Yeager / Saturday, June 27 2009 04:17 PM

I was so glad to receive your update and I hope that your days ahead will continue with faith and also the beautiful memories that you have of Ally. I do believe that she is allways looking down on you and sending as much beautiful memories as possible. I know the love that children bring to a family and also I couldnt imagine a home without children allthough my daughter is an adult now and lives far away in Hawaii, but that doesnt make it easy for any mother or father , we miss her alot .She doesnt call very often nor do we get to chat online too often either.I wish you and your family all the good things that the Lord will offer you and allways remember there are eyes in the sky .

Nicki / Saturday, June 27 2009 02:43 PM

Hi Shane, I think you were right behind us at the Reading Phills the other night. I was going to introduce myself, but didn't get the oppotunity since we weren't in the seats much...our 1 & 3 yr old would rather walk around :) I think it's awesome you are all going to continue your work with Gift of Life. I want to thank you for helping me see the other side of donation...I used to think I didn't want to reach out to Collin's other recipients in case they weren't doing well or have moved on to Heaven...but now I realize no matter how long or short their time after their tranplant....every extra day was a gift for their family. We are meeting one of Collin's recipients today - a little girl who received his intestine. Hopefully one day we'll be able to meet the others, but I am at least inspired to reach out to them again thanks to Ally. She is such an inspiration. I hope she and Collin have met in Heaven. Take care & God Bless.

Carol Yeager / Thursday, June 18 2009 04:49 PM

Thank you for the update and the poem,LOVED IT. I hope all is well,I have the same feelings of the things that happen and when the thoughts come to mind that it very well could be the loved one is sending thoughts and messages to you. Keep the thought and also the faith.

Kris / Wednesday, June 17 2009 07:09 PM

That's a great poem. I have often heard people find pennies when someone passes. I completely believe in organ donation. When my father passed away this past March, he was an organ donor. Though our loss was hard to understand, he saved the life of a man his age, weight, race so he could remain someone's dad, husband, grandfather. The man received my dad's liver and his retinaes went to another gentleman. Though his kidneys could have saved one of three possible patients, due to the lack of available airline flights to transport the kidneys,no one was saved. This broke our hearts since it would have meant so much to our family and the recipient. (our father was a Urologist and saved lives every day.) You and Shane are working for a good cause.

Janet / Wednesday, June 17 2009 01:00 AM

Thanks so much. I've always believe in these pennies! This poem helps so much.

Just checking the site, and found this poem, which I think will have special meaning for some of my families right now.

Debi / Tuesday, June 2 2009 11:50 AM

Thinking of you often lately. Peyton speaks of you alot and seems to know when you are near and where you are. She tells us you are in rocket often......I'm sure you are, you are working on all the missions w/ June and Leo and Annie and Quincey. You must have so much to do now that you are feeling so well! We miss your smiling face and it will never be forgotten! Keep catching all the balloons Peyton sends to you, she sends them full of love and good thoughts for her beloved Ally! Beautiful poem says it all......Love and God Bless.............

Karen Koller / Thursday, May 21 2009 06:07 PM

I love the poem! That is the best description I ever heard regarding loss. I'm glad that Ashley is finding joy in life and in remembering Ally. I bet she does look adorable with her missing teeth! I'll bet Ally is giggling like crazy at Ashley's missing teeth!

Karen Lenker / Tuesday, May 19 2009 01:07 AM

Saturday Torey noticed a single red ballon floating in the sky. I said- Oh my gosh that is Ally's ballon. We had such a heart warmer talk talking about all the things Ally liked. Torey plans to get a red ballon for her and send her some special Legos. You guys are never far from our hearts.

Carol Graves / Monday, May 18 2009 02:02 PM

great poem Jill. I don't think I ever saw Ally not smiling or enjoying life. One of my favorite memories was when me & MK came to see her before Christmas in the hospital and Ally had fun driving her cozy coupe all through the halls as we walked. And another is she and Caileigh on the teeter tooter swing at our house while you sang to them! Still praying for you guys!

Carol Yeager / Sunday, March 8 2009 04:42 PM

I would like to help but we are in a crisis at this moment and things are really hard for us just to get by and survive due to the economy and my husband is retired and I am under Drs. care for a heart condition and all our money goes towards meds for me and Drs. visits periodically.I do understand how important it is to raise as much as you possibly can to help those in need and my heart goes out to you all for thinking of others.Again I am sorry that I cant donate anything at this time.sincerely yours allways, Carol.

Its that time of year ...

Carol Yeager / Sunday, March 1 2009 04:54 PM

I am so glad to hear that the foundation will be continued to help all those who are in need of them and they all have my blessings and prayers.I feel so sad but there isnt anyway that I am financially stable enough to donate any kind of money because I myself am disabled and my husband is retired and we live on a very tight budget.I am not able to get any kind of financial help eventhough I have a heart condition and cannot work nor can I get any help financially due to the fact that I am married.Again I am so sorry.

Jill and Ashley, keep as busy as you can so that time passes more easily, but I cannot imagine waht you are going thru. I know it will get a little better, but you will never stop missing your baby girl! I am glad you and Ashley found a place. Sometime email me the info. Try to do something different this weekend, although I know you will have to give yourself a BIG kick in the butt to get going!!!! I hope it gets alittle better soon.

Carol Yeager / Friday, February 27 2009 09:16 PM

I wish there was something I could say that would make it possible for you to get some most deserving rest and finally be able to believe that you will never be able to go on in life if you keep on thinking that your life wont get any better You must just believe that for every tear that you cry ,you are taking rest away from your daughter Ally in Heaven .I am sure that she would tell you that you have done all that you possibly could have done for her but it was her time to go do her job with THE LORD now.I am sure that she is helping him take care of all those children up in Heaven and telling them what a brave little girl she was and it is all because of YOU her mommy that has given her the strength and hope that she would some day feel well enough to run and play with others just as she is probably doing as we speak.I am sure that you have something that nobody could ever take from you and that is all the good times and fun times that were shared while she was here on EARTH.PLEASE just remember all the love that you and her did share and still is there with her now in HEAVEN. I hope you can find some comfort in these words and just remember that you will never forget her but as time goes on it will get easier on you.LOVE,MEMORIES and your faith will see you through this.GOD BLESS

I remember those long nights...your body gets so used to hospitals and the icu that it takes awhile to "unprogram" i tell many people i am not getting over it, i am simply getting through it...i do what i can and thats all...i have a HOPE chest with all of Sara's favorite things in it, esp what she wore on her last day...what a beautiful gift it is 7 yrs later to be able to have that piece of her with provides HOPE for better days and sleep filled nights knowing that if i continue to hang on to HOPE, it will put me one day closer to being with her again...i dream of butterflies and waterfalls and Sara being right there...Hang on to HOPE, Jill, and sleep will come in time...

unibrower / Friday, February 27 2009 06:25 AM

you are in our thoughts & prayers. Hoping that you are able to get some sleep soon. Ashley is watching over us. Love to you all

Eileen / Friday, February 27 2009 12:06 AM

Everyday sucks and is horrible, it's just some days are more horrible than others, they just come out of nowhere and sucker punch you, just when you think you may have a handle on things and aren't going to breakdown. Have you tried Melatonin? It's OTC (Walmart carries it) and it doesn't let you sleep all night, but it sometimes extends the 3 hrs into maybe 4 or 5, and each extra minute helps and certainly beats dusting!I prayed to her to help Gavin and I think she worked her magic, like always!

Keith / Thursday, February 26 2009 03:23 PM
