Hello pretty girl! You look comfy in your "new" big girl bed. You stay strong and get ready for the trach and g tube so you can breathe and eat with more comfort. You need to get those annoying tubes off that pretty face! Say hello to mommy, daddy and Ashley. I hope they liked their new beds too! Ally-Well it is 12:35pm you should be in the OR by now. I hope this procedure will make you feel much better. I hear your big sister is comming to spend the night with your mommy and daddy tonight. Well, I want you to know that there is a big hole in "your" corner of the NICU, you! But your new home looks so beautiful! Windows and everything! It's so comforting to see that you still have all your same toys and your pretty socks on your hands :) I have no doubt you are charming those nurses over there too! It will be so hard to go to work and not take care of you anymore. You and your wonderful family have made my job such a pleasure and have been such a bright spot in our NICU. Your bright little smile made my evening many times! You have a loving, strong and supportive family to help you on this next phase. I know that you will do well. Dear Ally,

It was so hard to say goodbye to you today. You have, without a doubt, been the highlight of my recent days at Bryn Mawr. You are so forgiving (even after getting stuck for labwork, you'd still give me a smile). I have faith that you'll do well at duPont...both with the surgeries and the staff. Ally,although I am so sad to hear that you are leaving us and going to Dupont, I know that it is something that must happen.Don't be afraid of the tracheostomy-it will make it easier to get you off of the ventilator.
