It won't be a Merry Christmas this year (or any other) but I wish you both peace, and joy for Ashley. Hope you are having fun in heaven bugaboo,I always think of you crying with the Santa hat on, it was so heartbreaking but you looked sweet,as always.

Dear Jill,
We only met a few times in Anthony's room a couple of years ago while Ally was in the PICU and then with Ally in Childlife so we don't really know each other but I have followed her story ever since. I can't tell you how much you have been on my mind. I don't really even know what I want to say except that I am thinking of you. I can't tell you it will get better with time because I have not been where you have but I hope that you can find some peace someday.
I know tomorrow will be especially hard and I know it seems terribly unfair that you will not be able to watch Ally open her presents...it is unfair...but I hope you will at least be able to enjoy some moments. To have some time in the moment just for yourself.
My son's favorite color is red too and every time he picks something because it is red I think of Ally. She will not be forgotten.

I am sorry for all the hard times that you are all going through & no one, not even myself, could understand what you are all going through & we never will. I am so sorry.

A few weeks ago, Cody (he was in Sunday School with Ally) and I were outside kicking the ball on the ground to each other and he stopped kicking the ball to me and said "here" and started kicking the ball in the air. After kicking the ball for a while in the air I asked him what he was doing - he said I'm kicking the ball to Ally - He was giggling and having a great time. He continued to do this for about 10 to 15 minutes. When we were ready to go in he got to the door, stopped, turned around and said "Thanks for playing with me Ally". Thought it was important - since I firmly believe Ally is all around us all each day.

I am thinking of you all today, and just wish I could wrap my arms around you and give you a hug. You all are so etched in my heart and prayers.

Praying for God's Love and Prescence. I know that it may hard to feel or believe, but I can promise you....he is there.

Because I had no computer for over a month, I was not aware of the huge loss your family suffered last month, until last night when I came accross the heart felt messages left by friends and family on Ally's site. You're family is in my prayers. I am glad that I got to know Ally, she will forever be missed. Ally will continue to live on through Ash. They were so very close that every experience Ashley lives will have a double blessing, as Ally supports her all the way. Jill and Shane you are very strong and raised two beautiful young ladies. Be proud that every moment of Ally's life she new you lived for her happiness, and you loved her deeply. Ashley also knows this, and with your streangth she will continue to blossom. I know this to be true because I see it in ever smile the girls wear on this site.

You do not know me and I just wanted to say that my thoughts and prayers are with you!! I am actually at a loss of words and have to say you dealt with a lot in the past four years. I read alot of your journal entries and I don't know how you did it. I have three children of my own and I guess people take for granted having healthy children and don't know what parents go through when you have a chronically ill child. I wish you and your family the best.

I am so sorry for the loss of your beautiful little girl. I find myself going to her web page quite often to see her beautiful smile as well as Ashleys'. We don't know each other but my heart aches for you and your families. You two should be very proud of yourselves, you are both amazing parents. You took care of Ally and she will now take care of you.

I was so sorry to read about your daughter in the paper. You'll never remember who I am but I babysat you a few times when your parents lived on Lake Lane in LakeView Estates in Pennsburg. I'm sure your mom and possibly your dad would remember me. Of course I haven't seen you since you were a small little boy but I recognized your name as Ally's father immediately and just felt for you and your wife Jill. I just wanted to express my condolences to your family.

Shane, I don't know if you remember me but I just wanted to send my condolences to you and your family. I can't imagine what it is like to have gone through what you and your family have gone through. I recently had a baby boy and I can't begin to know what it would be like without him. You and your family are in my thoughts.

Though I do not know you or your family and I have only recently read about and viewed your website just now I was very touched at what a beautiful daughter and tribute you have made for her. I too have suffered the loss of a child. My son Todd Iatarola was killed in a car accident on August 13th, 2007, a little over a year. You may have heard about it, it was a horrific tradgedy and has touched many people in the Valley. I would like to offer my sincere condolences to you and your family. I know all to well the pain of the loss you are going through just know there are many who share your pain and walk along with you and your grief. I don't know if you remember me, Jill, but I was a student chaplain at Children's Hospital. I am just so very sad to hear of Ally's death. She was a very special, amazing, and beautiful little girl. And you are such a wonderful mom. I met so many children and parents during my time at CHP, but you and Ally stand out in my mind as such a courageous, funny and wonderful team. I will pray for you and your family that you may eventually find peace in your memories of Ally and comfort in your love for each other. Thank you again for what you taught me about courage and love. The peace of Christ be with you, your husband, your daughter and your whole family.

I am so sorry for your loss. I didnt hear of your family until I saw it in the newspaper. I visited your website and read your life story. I think about what your family is going through often and your family is in my prayers.

I am so sorry to hear that Ally's fight has come to an end. I can't imagine losing a child. Jill, I knew you from St. John's when you were a young girl and you have always been a sweet person. Ally is resting in Jesus' arms right now and I hope that your family will heal in time. Cling to all your memories and cherish them. Then when you feel strong enough, go and make new memories with your other daughter. Ally would want it that way.

I am so sorry to hear about Ally. That little girl will be missed so much here on 7N. I loved coming to work when Ally was here. Her smile and energy were infectious. She would always make my day a little brighter. She was amazing. She was an angel.
