With all you and Ally have gone through, it's sometimes hard to imagine more valleys and hills. But you and Ally and your family are amazing people, and you have many, many people supporting and praying for all of you. Although it often doesn't make much sense, without both the good and the challenging it's hard to really appreciate the good when it's there. It can be hard to appreciate this when the going gets tough. I know you will take a deep breath, reorient, and with prayer and support make it through this time as you have with the multiple times before. As always, you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Be of comfort to Jill and Shane as they watch at Ally's bedside. We entrust it all into your care in the name of Christ. Amen.

Our prayers continue to flow your way. I also wanted to share a poem with you that I wrote when my uncle received a new liver in January. The organ donation family is going to see that the giving family receives the poem. I changed it alittle to fit your situation. You can do whatever you choose with the poem. Thank you….. Such small words Without much meaning To say to someone’s family Who made the ultimate sacrifice? We are truly sorry for your family’s loss But he or she has made their final journey home And before you let them fly You in fact Gave them life See your gift Your precise gift Has given our daughter, sister, granddaughter A second chance at life A piece of your loved one still shines Still lives And still exists Your family No matter how far away Or how close Is part of my family Please have some peace in knowing that our families are connected Even if by small organs Your family is now And always will be a part of our lives and prayers Thank you!! 8/8/07

Hi Jill and Shane, My prayers have been with Ally and your family. I am happy to hear all your positive news. I was reading about your apartment hunt. A friend of mine used a program called Host for Homes while her granddaughter was at CHOP. Private families around large hospitals open their homes to families of sick children. There is no charge and she thinks it is offered through out PA. Her original contact was Marilyn Lakin from Boscov's East at 610-779-2000. She placed her in contact with a Mike from the Boscov family. She thinks CHOP may have information on this program as well. I'm sorry I do not have more information on the program, but hopefully someone will be able to get you more information. All My Prayers and Best Wishes, Tina
