So sorry it has been awhile since we have updated the site. Shane added some music so I hope you all enjoy it. We especially like the "Baby Girl" song so be sure to check it out.
Thank you to everyone who participated in the Donor Walk. It was a beautiful day and all the support our team received was a great was to honor Ally's memory and support a terrific cause at the same time!
Ashley's class and the other afternoon Kindergarten class at her school held a small walk to support Ally's Angels. The kids seemed to have a blast and Ashley was even more proud to be Ally's big sister! Afterwards one of her classmates' mom came in to read the kids a few books about Angels. It was all so sweet. Thank you to Ashley's teacher, Mrs. Slaybaugh, for organizing this walk at school and for being such a wonderful teacher and friend to Ashley throughout the year.
Last Wednesday Ashley and I headed to Ally's school, Creative Minds Montessori, for Earth Day. Her teacher, Miss Mandy, thought it would be nice to plant a tree for Earth Day in memory of Ally. It was so nice to see all of Ally's classmates. Mandy read a touching poem that she wrote entitled "Ally's tree". As soon as I get a copy of it I will share it with you. After the tree planting ceremony the kids released red balloons. They told me they were sending them up to Ally in Heaven.
While at school I was reminded of how blessed we were to have the opportunity to send Ally to school there. I used to pray everynight that Ally would be healthy enough to go to school and play just like any other child. And although she didn't have a lot of time, my prayers were answered and she got to go to school and play just like all the other kids.
She was so proud of herself on her first day of school. She carried her lunch box, smiled and walked into her classroom. I will never forget how happy she looked! I am so thankful for Ally's school and for the precious memories I have of seeing Ally there. I will treasure them always.
Jill
I love you Ally...and miss you every moment of everyday baby girl!

Thank you so much to everyone who has signed up for the walk! Also a special thanks to all the people who have donated to our team and are supporting Ally's Angels in the Dash for Organ Donor Awareness!
If you are a procrastinator don't worry, you can still sign up for the walk! Just click on the link on the link to Ally's Angels Team Sign-up. (It's located on the homepage of this site).
For those of you attending the walk we will be having a team photo taken at 9 o'clock. Since red was Ally's favorite color we went back to red shirts for our team for this year. So look for a big group of red people on the art museum steps. For those of you who have not received a team shirt yet we will be having some extras at the walk so just find us and let us know what size you will need.
Here are some other times for those that will be attending this wonderful event.
Registration 8:30 to 10:45
5K begins at 10:00
10K begins at 10:20
3K Donor Walk begins at 11:00
Parking is a little bit of a hassle so we recommend allowing extra time or arriving early. The team photo this year is kind of early because we have so many people on our team doing the 5K and 10K and we would like all team members to have the opportunity to be in the photo. Remember the photo is at 9 O'clock!
Can't wait to see you all there!
JillComments:Debi: I missed the walk but I did participate by making more people aware and I raised $$ for such a wonderful cause....the best gift is this tee shirt. Thank you for all your continued support at educating our community of the importance of donating organs, and blood.
