Ally's Breakfast and Blood Drive will be held Saturday October 8th 2011 from 7a.m. to 11 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, Boyertown, Pa.

Thank you to everyone that came out to support our Angels for Ally 2011 Team at the Gift of Life Dash for Organ Donor Awareness. Also a big thanks to all of those people that were unable to attend the event but still made a donation in Ally's memory. We greatly appreciate all of the support we receive and we are thankful to have so many friends and family help us promote the improtance of organ donation! As of no our team has rasied nearly $4,500, this money will go towards the $25,000 that we need to rasie to have a room name in memory of Ally at the Gift of Life Family House!

Which brings me to my next event!!!

This year for Mother's Day, E.G. Landis Jewelers will be hosting a "Cupcake Angel" event. They have selected three mom's to receive the funds rasied through this event. These three mother's will then use the money towards one of the special projects they support in memory of their children. I have been chosen to receive one third of the profits from this event and I will be giving all of my portion of the proceeds to the Gift of Life Family House in memory of Ally!!! Thank you to Cris & Mark Matlack and E.G. Landis Jewelers for sponsoring this event!

Please help us continue our tradition of building a strong supportive team made of friends and family that can impact so many lives within our region!

Ally's story is just one of the hundreds that proved organ and tissue donation saved lives in 2010. Gift of Life Donor Program, the organ procurement organization for eastern Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey and Delaware, has diligently worked with area health care providers and families for more than three decades to facilitate donation and promote it as a life-saving means, and last year proved to be another successful year.

In 2010, the gifts of hundreds of generous organ donors helped the Gift of Life coordinate thousands of life-saving transplants over the course of the year. This was able to take place because of those donors and their family members who looked past their own tragedies and chose to save or enhance someone's life, like Ally and many others.

Last year, Gift of Life also coordinated bone recoveries, skin donations and cornea donations, among countless other tissue recoveries that will greatly improve the life of thousands of tissue recipients. While not as readily publicized as organ donation, these gifts are no less miraculous. Transplanted bone can help rebuild a damaged limb and save it from amputation. Donated corneas can restore sight, and burn victimscan receive donated skin to help them heal.

Today I'm asking you to think about the impact you could have by donating a few dollars or better yet, joining Ally's Angels April 18th in Philadelphia, PA.

Please join us for Ally's Beef and Beer Birthday Bash! Saturday February 5th from 6 to 11 p.m. at Keystone Fire House Boyertown, Pa. Tickets are $25 a person. Entertainment will be provided by DJ Bruce Miller and there will also be a Chinese Auction. The event will be sponsored by Angels for Ally.

In the past we have donated the proceeds of this event to families in need of financial support while caring for their chronically ill children. This year we have decided to donate the proceeds of this event to the New Gift of Life Family House in Philadelphia. The Gift of Life Family House will be opening their doors this year and will begin assisting and providing support to transplant families. The proceeds from Ally's event will help to provide funding for the Gift of Life Family House.

In 2010 the Angels for Ally have raised over $13,000 for the Family House and in 2011 we hope to raise close to $12,000 to donate to the Family House. We will then have raised more than $25,000 and the Gift of Life will name a room in memory and honor of Ally at the Gift of Life Family House. Please help us to continue Ally's legacy and honor her memory by coming out and supporting this event!
