These past few days and weeks have been busy ones for our family. Ally, Jill, and our nurse left Monday morning for Columbus, Ohio for a schedule trip to have a motility study. The test is being done to see how much function Ally's small bowel really has, and to determine whether or not she will need a stomach when transplanted.
The study was to last two days, but since they had trouble keeping Ally's tube in place inside her stomach, they completed the test in one day. We should learn more today, and what the results showed. Ally and Jill, hope to be able to leave today, and make it home later tonight.
As of right now there has been no news from Pittsburgh. We just are continuing to enjoy our days outside of all the hospitals, and trying to get Ally stronger physically so that she will be ready for the transplant.
I hope everyone had a great summer, and if you have time and a chance we would love to see you at the next Basket Bingo!! Pittsburgh is going to be one major expense hurdle we could use a much help as possible. Between an apartment that will cost $2500 a month, traveling expenses back and forth across the state, and all our everyday bills at home, this next battle is looking more and more expensive everyday. Any help is very much appreciated!!
We will update again soon with test results.
