Shane, I don't know if you remember me but I just wanted to send my condolences to you and your family. I can't imagine what it is like to have gone through what you and your family have gone through. I recently had a baby boy and I can't begin to know what it would be like without him. You and your family are in my thoughts.

Though I do not know you or your family and I have only recently read about and viewed your website just now I was very touched at what a beautiful daughter and tribute you have made for her. I too have suffered the loss of a child. My son Todd Iatarola was killed in a car accident on August 13th, 2007, a little over a year. You may have heard about it, it was a horrific tradgedy and has touched many people in the Valley. I would like to offer my sincere condolences to you and your family. I know all to well the pain of the loss you are going through just know there are many who share your pain and walk along with you and your grief. I am a member of The Compassionate Friends(Quakertown Chapter) and if you feel the need for extra support please know you are not alone and always welcome. You have a wonderful little angel who will forever be by your side! My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I stumbled upon your page approximately two weeks ago through Gavin Owens site. I just wanted to say that I'm praying for you and your family. You are in my prayers and will forever be. That's great your daughter made a pumpkin for her too! Art therapy is a great thing. I just wanted to say that someone in Ohio is and will always be praying for your family.

I don't know if you remember me, Jill, but I was a student chaplain at Children's Hospital. I am just so very sad to hear of Ally's death. She was a very special, amazing, and beautiful little girl. And you are such a wonderful mom. I met so many children and parents during my time at CHP, but you and Ally stand out in my mind as such a courageous, funny and wonderful team. I will pray for you and your family that you may eventually find peace in your memories of Ally and comfort in your love for each other. Thank you again for what you taught me about courage and love. The peace of Christ be with you, your husband, your daughter and your whole family.

I am so sorry for your loss. I didnt hear of your family until I saw it in the newspaper. I visited your website and read your life story. I think about what your family is going through often and your family is in my prayers.

I am so sorry to hear that Ally's fight has come to an end. I can't imagine losing a child. Jill, I knew you from St. John's when you were a young girl and you have always been a sweet person. Ally is resting in Jesus' arms right now and I hope that your family will heal in time. Cling to all your memories and cherish them. Then when you feel strong enough, go and make new memories with your other daughter. Ally would want it that way.

I am so sorry to hear about Ally. That little girl will be missed so much here on 7N. I loved coming to work when Ally was here. Her smile and energy were infectious. She would always make my day a little brighter. She was amazing. She was an angel.

We are another DuPont family that met you visiting little Anthony and met Ally in Childlife a few years ago. We have been following her story ever since. She touched us so much that we have shared it with many others. I was truly heartbroken to read of your loss. I cannot even imagine the depth of it and I have not written earlier because I don't even know what to say except that I am sorry. I don't know how you will go on but I do know that you will for Ashley and for Ally too because that is what she would want. She would want her family to be happy and to continue fighting in her name for other families. As the mother of a chronically ill child I know that your days have been filled with just caring for her for so long and so now what? Fill that time caring for each other. Holding each other up on the bad days. Again, I am so so sorry for your loss. I know words can not do it justice. Take comfort in knowing how many people all of you have touched. How many lives Ally made a difference in.
Max's favorite color is red too and I know that I will forever think of Ally when he insists on wearing red.

I cannot understand the depths of your loss. I can only imagine the pain. My husband and I have followed Ally's journey and have attended several of the fundraising events. Although we don't know your family, Ally has touched our hearts tremendously. We are all lucky to have your angel watching over all of us. My 4 year old son is battling a liver disease, which kept us interested in Ally's progress. Her incredible spirit will live on in our hearts.

I wish I could put into words the immense sorrow that I feel for your family. I have followed your website for approx. 2 1/2 years now since saw your story in the newspaper. At that time, I realized that Shane and I had gone to elementary school together and were in the same class a few times. I have been overwhelmed at the strength your family has shown throughout this whole journey. Never have you wavered in your decision to move forward even though you knew what the end result could mean. You have truly been an inspiration to most parents who have thought their life was tough. As we sit with our own sick child (a cold, the flu, whatever), we must remember what your family has gone through (and will continue to go through). You haven't seemed to show an ounce of weakness or fear. Although there is no such thing as a perfect parent, you certainly have personified that image to me. And Shane, don't doubt what a good father you have been. I'm sure there are ALOT of fathers who would have walked away a long time ago. But you've shown such responsibility and courage, which speaks volumes. Even though you may have missed some moments along the way, you have always been (and always will be) in Ally's heart...and that's where it matters the most!
